World Suicide Prevention Day is observed annually on 10 September to raise awareness about suicide prevention, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, encourage compassionate conversations, and strengthen community support.

To promote awareness about suicide prevention, encourage people to speak openly about emotional distress, reduce stigma, strengthen supportive relationships, promote appropriate help-seeking, and create safer and more compassionate schools, colleges, healthcare institutions and communities.

1.Conduct World Suicide Prevention Day activities in your institution.
2.Take clear photographs and short videos of the activities.
3.Prepare a brief event summary highlighting the objectives, activities, participation and outcomes.
4.Send the photographs, videos and event summary via WhatsApp to 𝟵𝟵𝟰𝟰𝟯𝟭𝟯𝟵𝟱𝟯 (WA).
5.As per the programme’s recognition process, eligible institutions may be acknowledged for their participation and contribution towards SDG-focused youth engagement, community awareness and sustainable development. Selected/eligible institutions and participants may receive appropriate appreciation or participation recognition according to the programme guidelines.
