INTRODUCTION

Vijay Diwas is observed on 16 December every year to commemorate India’s historic victory in the 1971 Indo–Pakistan War, which led to the creation of Bangladesh. The day honours the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces.
