Theme 2025 : “Creating Hope Through Action”

1.Morning ๐—”๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—น๐˜† Awareness Talk

Begin the day with a thought for the day: “Every life is precious, and every problem has a solution.”

A student or teacher can give a 2-minute speech about the importance of spreading hope and helping friends.

End with a moment of silence for those who lost lives to mental health struggles.

2.๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ & Slogan Making

Theme: “Creating Hope Through Action”.

Students design posters with positive messages like:

“You are not alone.”

“Talk. Listen. Care.”

Display the posters in classrooms and hallways as an awareness gallery.

3.๐—˜๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜† / Poetry Writing

Suggested Topics:

“My Reasons for Hope”

“Why Life is Beautiful”

“Helping a Friend in Need”

Selected essays or poems can be read out in assembly or published in the school magazine.

4.๐—ฆ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜€ / Mime on Hope & Friendship

Students perform a short roleplay showing:

A child feeling sad or pressured.

A friend notices and supports them.

Together they talk to a teacher/parent.

Students come forward to share:

Each student pairs up with a buddy for the week.

Daily task: Ask “How are you feeling today?” and share one positive thought.

Builds peer support and empathy.

7.Letters of ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น

Students write short, anonymous notes like:

“Don’t give up, brighter days are coming.”

“Your life is valuable.”

Notes are pinned to a “Wall of Hope” in the school corridor for everyone to read.

Students create art under the theme “Light After Darkness”.

Display as a Hope Mural in school to remind everyone of resilience.

Students plant saplings or flowers in the school garden.

Attach message tags like “Keep Growing,” “Hope is Alive,” “Stay Strong.”

Symbolizes life, care, and nurturing hope.

All students stand together and take a pledge:

15.๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ Bench (Peer Support Corner)

Place a special bench in the school ground labelled “Friendship Bench.”

Any student who feels lonely can sit there.

Others are encouraged to sit beside them and talk.

16.๐—›๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ Awareness Drive

Display posters with suicide prevention helplines (like Snehi, iCALL, AASRA, NIMHANS).

Encourage students to save at least one helpline number in their phones.

17.๐—ฌ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ป Distribution

Give students yellow ribbons (symbol of suicide prevention).

Students wear them to show they stand for hope, care, and life.

๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐˜€๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—น๐˜€: Use the word “hope, care, support, mental health” more often than “suicide” when addressing younger students to keep the approach positive and sensitive.
