World Patient Safety Day – September 17
2025 Theme (WHO): “Engaging Patients for Patient Safety” (continuation of focus on involving patients and families in safe healthcare).
Tagline: “Elevate the voice of patients!”

▪️To spread awareness about safety in healthcare
▪️To teach students and healthcare workers the importance of safe practices, communication, hygiene, and empathy
▪️To reduce errors and improve patient outcomes
1..Primary School (Classes 1–5)
๐ฏ Focus: Personal Safety & Clean Habits
Morning Talk: Simple story about handwashing saving lives.
Handwashing Drill: Teach the 7 steps of WHO handwashing method.
Drawing Contest: Theme – “Wash Hands, Stay Safe.”
Role Play: “Safe Visit to Doctor” – students act as doctor, nurse, patient.
Pledge: “I will wash my hands before eating, after play, after toilet.”
2..Middle School (Classes 6–8)
๐ฏ Focus: Hygiene & Safety Awareness
Poster & Slogan Writing: “Clean Hands, Safe Patients.”
Demonstration: How germs spread (using glitter or paint to show contact spread).
Short Skit: “A Day in the Hospital – Right vs. Wrong Practices.”
Quiz: Questions on basic hygiene, vaccination, healthy habits.
Safety Chart: Display “Do’s & Don’ts in School Clinic.”
3..High School (Classes 9–12)

Seminar: “Why Patient Safety Matters” – by school health officer or doctor.
Model / Chart Exhibition: Display safe injection practices, hospital hygiene.
Debate: “Are Patients Responsible for Their Own Safety Too?”
Patient Safety Wall: Students write tips for safe healthcare.
Visit to Local Hospital: Learn about safety protocols (PPE, sterile zones).
4..College Students (Arts, Science, Engineering)
