International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons – September 26

2025 Message (UN): “No Nuclear Weapons: Our Global Priority for Peace & Security.”

Goal: To inspire a world free of nuclear threat and promote peace through dialogue.

1..Purpose

To educate students about nuclear weapons’ impact on humanity & environment

To promote the idea that peaceful dialogue > war & destruction

To connect students to global disarmament movements

2..Primary School (Classes 1–5)

🎯 Focus: Peace & Safety Awareness

Storytelling Session: A simple story about two villages choosing peace over war.

Peace Pledge:

> “I will be kind, I will not fight, I will spread peace.”

Drawing Activity: “A World Without War.” (sunny skies, smiling children).

Peace Symbols Craft: Make paper doves or peace signs.

Song or Poem: Group singing of a peace rhyme.

3..Middle School (Classes 6–8)

🎯 Focus: Understanding War & Peace

Poster & Slogan Writing: “Make Peace, Not War.”

Short Skit: “The Day the World Chose Peace” (portraying hope for disarmament).

Classroom Talk: Teachers explain nuclear weapons’ effects in simple terms.

Peace Chain Activity: Students form a chain and share one peaceful act they will do.

Film Screening: Short animated clip on Hiroshima/Nagasaki and lessons learned.

4..High School (Classes 9–12)

🎯 Focus: Critical Thinking & Advocacy

Debate: “Nuclear Weapons – A Necessary Evil or a Global Threat?”

Essay Writing: “My Vision of a Nuclear-Free World.”

Model / Chart Exhibition: Show nuclear weapons’ destruction & global treaties (NPT, CTBT).

🎯 Focus: Awareness, Diplomacy & Innovation

6..Nursing / Medical Students

🎯 Focus: Humanitarian & Medical Perspective
