The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has introduced a dedicated water bell system in government and aided schools. This involves ringing a unique bell three times daily—typically at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM—to prompt students to drink water. Schools may adapt timings to fit their schedules.
