THEME: “Remembering the Past, Building a Peaceful Future”

🔘Day 1: HISTORICAL AWARENESS

🔰Morning Assembly (All Grades)

★Speech by a Teacher/Student – Overview of Jallianwala Bagh and its impact on India’s independence.

★Poetry Recital – Patriotic poems about sacrifice and unity.

★Silent Tribute – A 2-minute silence in memory of the martyrs.

🔰Classroom Activities

★Primary (Grades 1-5): Storytelling session about the incident in a simplified manner.

★Middle (Grades 6-8): Role-play of historical figures like Udham Singh, General Dyer, or freedom fighters.

★High School (Grades 9-12): Documentary screening followed by a discussion.

🔘Day 2: PATRIOTISM & REFLECTION

🔰Competitions & Interactive Activities

★Poster & Slogan Writing (Grades 6-8) – Themes: “Sacrifice & Freedom,” “Non-Violence.”

★Essay Competition (Grades 9-12) – Topics:

“The Role of Jallianwala Bagh in India’s Independence Movement.”

“What If Peace Had Prevailed?”

★Debate Competition (Grades 9-12) – “Can Non-Violence Prevent Future Conflicts?”

🔰Peace Walk & Candlelight Tribute (All Grades)

★Students walk in silence around the school, carrying peace banners.

★Candlelight or diya-lighting ceremony in memory of the victims.

🔘Day 3: LEARNING FROM HISTORY FOR A PEACEFUL FUTURE

🔰Workshops & Discussions

★Middle & High School: Panel Discussion – “From Jallianwala Bagh to Today: Lessons on Peace & Human Rights.”

★Primary: “Hands for Peace” craft – Students trace their hands and write peace messages.

★Pledge for Peace (All Grades):
“We remember history, we choose kindness, we stand for peace.”

🔰Community Engagement (Optional)

★Tree Plantation Drive – Each tree represents a lesson from history.

★Visit to a Local Historical Site or Virtual Tour of Jallianwala Bagh.

🔘Additional Ideas:

★Invite a historian or freedom fighter’s family member to speak.
★Encourage students to write letters to the future about peace.
★End with a small exhibition of students' work.
