๐ŸšฆThe eligibility criteria for the Adolescent Champions Initiative are outlined as follows:

  1. UN Designated Schools Eligibility: Schools designated by the United Nations are eligible to nominate participants for this initiative.
  2. Student UN Volunteers: Participants must be actively engaged as student volunteers under the United Nations Volunteer program.
  3. Nomination Limit for Organizations: UN designated organizations are allowed to nominate a maximum of two champions for the championship contest.
๐ŸšฆThe Adolescent Champions initiative has specific requirements from participants in the championship, which include:
  1. Life Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency in various life skills and a deep understanding of critical issues such as child rights, child marriage, child abuse, child labor, sexual and reproductive health, financial literacy, and participatory governance.

  2. Documentation: Submission of relevant documentation, certificates, academic records, and any supporting materials that validate the participant's activities and achievements towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) objectives.

  3. Compliance with Guidelines: Adherence to the nomination guidelines, including the completion of the nomination form, providing accurate personal information, and consent for participation.

  4. Consent and Awareness: Participant's consent to be part of the initiative, acknowledging the objectives, Child Protection Policy, and the responsible conduct of the organizing team.

  5. Engagement with UN Objectives: Handwritten documents about the United Nations and its functions, showcasing the participant's understanding and awareness of the UN's role and missions.

  1. Recognition: Selected adolescents are honored and felicitated at a regional-level program organized by UN Volunteers-India.
  2. Certificate: A United Nations approved certificate is awarded to the selected adolescents in recognition of their leadership and contributions.
  3. Training: Extensive training is provided to approximately 400 adolescents across different states, aiming to enhance their skills in various areas such as child rights, child marriage, child abuse, child labor, sexual and reproductive health, financial literacy, and participatory governance.

The initiative focuses on acknowledging the efforts and achievements of young leaders while also providing them with the necessary training and support to further their understanding and impact in crucial areas related to adolescent welfare and development.

Meeting these requirements ensures that the participants possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and commitment to contribute effectively as Adolescent Champions, furthering the initiative's goals and impact.
